We will continue to care for our office and sterilize properly according to the CDC and OSHA guidelines. We have also added more extensive measures to keep our patients and team safe.
- Less overlap of patients in the waiting room. Limited to one patient at a time, with an outdoor waiting area for overflow. Waiting room is cleaned between each patient.
- Continue with use of room disinfectants that are EPA registered Intermediate Level Disinfectant: Tuberculocidal, Bactericidal, Virucidal, Fungicidal.
- Hypochlorous fogger used between procedures to purify the air in all treatment and waiting areas.
- Our dental team will use N95 or the appropriate mask with PPE to protect the patients and providers. We also use full face shields and eye wear, and full-length waterproof gowns where deemed necessary.
- Steam autoclave will continue to be used on all intraoral instruments to sterilize and disposable instruments will be used where appropriate.
- We have added HEPA air purifiers to each room equipped with UV light. The air in an operatory will be turned over 4 times in the hour to reduce aerosols.
- Our office has enclosed operatories to reduce spread of aerosols.
- We have added the use of intraoral suctions (isodry units) that drastically reduce aerosol spread for operative and deep cleaning procedures.
- Prior to procedure you will wash your hands and then rinse your mouth with a pre-procedural mouth rinse to help reduce viral load
- Upon entering the office, you will apply hand sanitizer and if you do not have a mask one will be provided for you. We will then take your temperature at the time of entering the office for your dental procedure and you will go through a screening.
- The dental team goes through testing monthly and will be reporting temperature and screen for symptoms twice a day.
